Sunday 2 nd December2007   Key Rule Changes for New Season
At the AGM this year it was decided to bring LSA rules in line as much as possible with the governing bodies - ISF and BSF. To do this the following rule changes have been made.

1: 5 male and 5 female players - where a team cannot field 5 female they are allowed to have a maximum of 1 female batting twice in the order, meaning there is only 1 automatic out for a team fielding only 3 female and no automatic out for a team fielding only 4 female.
2: Boys play as Men - regardless of age NOTE: The lower age limit for players is currently 13 and upper is 18, with players under 18 requiring appropriate parental or guardian supervision.
3: Maximum of 2 male players in the outfield.
4: No safety plate at home from div 2.

Tuesday 31 st July2007   Single Sex Nightmare
The Yorkshire Pudding Mens team came home with their tails between their legs after the single sex nationals in Birmingham this weekend. The tournament boasted the highest turnout ever since its induction but the Puddings team unfortunately weren't able to match up to the strength of some of the other team playing. The calming influence of the girls team members was heavily missed as tempers rose and heads dropped, the tournament was however the debut for a few new faces who we hope return and form the base of the next generation of Yorkshire teams.
