Mid-Season Social (2 July)
AMF Bowling in the Merrion Centre, Leeds. LSA are holding a social bowling night - two games, a free drink and some nachos (yes, more free food!) for £9.95pp. What better way to round off the week? Let us know numbers by 25 June so we can book the lanes please! Email us!
End of Season Awards and Social Evening (11 September)
LSA will once more hold the ever-popular end of season awards and social event at the City Inn, Leeds. A 3-course meal, plenty of free drinkies, pre-dinner games, entertainment, silverware handed out, dancing till late, then retire to the Sky Lounge for futher mayhem.. who could say no?! Tickets are a very reasonable £40 and are on sale NOW! Captains, contact a committee member to book your team in!

Rundowns, doubles, defending the squeeze... how good are you and your team?? Come down to this session to get some tips from Liz Knight!
Summer Coaching - Let The Girls Play! (27 June)
Open to all female players in the league! Run by Liz Knight and aimed at getting the ladies Nationals team together, hopefully with some opposition! This session will be a testosterone-free zone, so if you have ever wondered what it's like to play second base without shortstop knocking you out the way, come on down... Seriously, come and work with a great coach's dedicated attention and see the difference it makes to your game!
Leeds Tournament (10-11 July)*
Leeds Tournament is back, once again at West Park RFC, on 10-11 July. There are still some places remaining so get your forms in quick!
Leeds Tournament is a 16-team C-Comp recreational tournament, attracting teams from the length and breadth of the country, and it's a fab way for rookie Leeds teams to experience all that tournaments have to offer, in the comfort of their own backyard!
Summer Tournaments*
LSA sends composite teams known as the (Yorkshire) Puddings and the (Yorkshire) Terriers to a number of tournaments around the country during the summer, and some league teams now travel under their own colours. Any and all players are eligible to enter tournaments.. what are you waiting for?!
Pre-Season warm-up*
LSA hosted two pre-season tournament-style sessions in early May. Saturday 1 May was a mixed-team "First Ball" tournament, open to all players and teams.
Sunday 2 May was a ladies-only tournament in aid of the Leeds Breast Cancer Haven (registered charity number 1061726), which raised £216.00 (more than double the expected amount!) for the charity.
LSA intends to run both of these sessions again in 2011, as they were so successful.
Pre-Season Social
LSA ran their first pre-season social event on Friday 9 April at O'Neill's pub on Millenium Square. Massive thanks to social secretary Melissa Molles for organising the event, including providing a fiendish pub quiz! The event was aimed at introducing new players to old in a neutral environment, and generally getting everyone together. There was a great turnout (with unconfirmed rumours that this was because of the free food made available!) and many people risked serious injury to play Giant Jenga..
LSA hopes to make this a regular event.
